Our Success

Our focus in recent years, following a rationalisation and restructuring of our portfolio, has been to apply our philosophy and ‘hands-on’ management to help create real commercial and financial value in our portfolio companies.

A few examples of our involvement will illustrate this success:

• Institution of a new management team in a medical technology company

• Complete financial restructuring of the ownership and governance procedures in an environmental testing business

• Introduction and negotiation of a first channel partner relationship for an advanced materials business

• Organised analysis of new market opportunity and funding of the product development for an optoelectronics company

• Leveraged extensive media network to help reposition a business that had failed to address a market need

The Chord Capital portfolio has developed extensively over the past five years. On the back of three IPOs, nine trade sales, and extensive valuation increases, Chord Capital has achieved an IRR over the period, which is amongst the best in class.
